I didn't like season 3 much, and expect season 4 would make up for it, but it got even worse now, and I don't think the show can recover from this if they are going to make more of it and keep the same stupid plot lines. It totally lost the wits and intellect and non-stop mysteries that made season 1 and 2 so successful, rather it becomes a soap opera, super hero movie with the plots and story lines descent to such an unbelievability or fantasies that even people with average IQ wouldn't buy at all. The Six Thatchers: 7/10 The Lying Detective: 9/10 The Final Problem: 7/10 … Expand Overall, good series, but does not live up to the hype. It does not really live up to the hype and almost every living or abiotic element in the episode feels wasted. The Final Problem is good but does not accomplish much by the time it is over. It's easily better than every episode in the first and third series. The Lying Detective brings the show back to form again with a strong villain and mystery and awesome performances, direction, editing, and writing. The performances and some of the writing and directing make up for some of this, and the episode, while the worst one yet, is still good. It did not feel very defined as as separate episode of Sherlock and really just went through the motions without much of a bang. The Six Thatchers is the weakest episode of Sherlock yet with no well-made mystery. The performances and some of the Solid series but worst out of all four.
